Technology Overview

Our core intellectual property enhances a small biopsy of adipose tissue to be grown into a larger biomass of adipocyte-derived stem cells. In BaconBio’s case, these cells are called dedifferentiated fat cells, known as DFAT cells.

Through a proprietary cycling mechanism by alternating the cell state, BaconBio can achieve higher density of stem cells compared to typical SVF-based extractions and accomplish this without genetic modification (i.e. without needing viral vectors such as those used in iPSCs).
